Glenn “Skip” Ross is quickly becoming a compelling contender for media mogul. Breaking the mold of basic business strategies and practices for broadcasting, Ross is currently in the process of building a progressively competitive network. This network is comprised of several entities with both a national and international platform; servicing viewers on a weekly basis within broadcast television and other media platforms.

 

As an art major, Ross began his career as a structural artist, eventually becoming commissioned in both the corporate and private sectors. His talent and impressive skill combined with his love for cars lead him to infuse his creative ability into the automotive world; receiving national recognition building and modifying custom cars. But it wasn’t until he picked up his first camera did Ross discover his true passion. Expanding his business savvy, Ross became one of the first prominent minority station owners in the Midwest, creating award-winning productions and building business relationships that laid the foundation for future minority business advancement. He not only rebuilt WRCX TV-40, but he also hires and mentors young African Americans that graduated at the top of their class, serving as a vital part of the deeply-rooted communications industry in his hometown. Ross' vision, abilities, and leadership skills also helped to accelerate the process of building a small advertising agency with an ample and consistent customer base to serve as yet another resource for Ohio and its local economy.

 

Ross is currently building e-commerce television programming with the possibilities of international syndication that would re-position several vendors, inventors, filmmakers, and product manufacturers to capitalize on a mainstream platform that brings a tremendous increase in merchant sales.

 

A trailblazer in the field, Ross understood the intricate parts of the entertainment industry and began to forge new relationships in the west and the south, leading to new business opportunities and the creation of Our Legacy Records. This venture became successful with the release of new urban artist, Colb De’Lion, who quickly jumped the charts and generated funds from iTunes sales, which lead to opening shows for Fantasia, The Ohio Players, and many others. Ross, no stranger to production and entertainment, teamed up with network affiliate NJP Media Network, utilizing combined resources, they completed the award winning production, Illumination, a Christian-based sci-fi short film with CGI graphics that screened to sold out theaters in Ohio and South Carolina. This joint effort's success is not only celebrated, but has become the foundation for an upcoming TV series, One Hot Mess which is set to begin initial production in late 2016. Mr. Ross has also produced various TV shows such as Turner Greens, Full Throttle and Legal Matters, that have garnered much acclaim in Ohio and beyond, as he continues to emerge as a force in broadcast and film.
